As witnessed in the documentary film "Mad Hot Ballroom", children cultivate self-esteem, respect, coordination, and more life-enhancing skills through learning ballroom dance.


The Ballroom Dance Center provides group classes for kids seven plus and teens twelve plus.  The teens class is Tuesdays at 4pm and the kids class is Tuesdays at 4:45pm.  New students are always welcome.  

Fast Track teens/kids class (requires instructor approval for participation) run Mondays at 4:45pm.

Pupils are expected to:

- Wear closed-toe leather soled dress or ballroom dance shoes
- Treat teachers and students with respect and kindness

Children who are disruptive to the class will be given a time-out.  Children who are tired during class are allowed to sit out and rest for part of the class.

Students learn fundamental skills in at least two dance styles in every class.  Each class is designed as a fun introduction to ballroom dance in various styles, including but not limited to Waltz, Tango, Swing, Foxtrot, and ChaCha.  Fast track class focuses on technique and choreography.  We also provide private lessons for performance and Competition-oriented children.

Please register before attending.  Though it is helpful to bring a partner to class it is not necessary.  Parents are welcome to stay and watch in the ballroom throughout lessons.
